Dear Friends,

Welcome to my website! You may remember me as the host of HGTV’s Kitchen Design with Joan Kohn and Bed & Bath Design with Joan Kohn for 12 exciting seasons when the network was brand new.  Since then, I’ve been thinking a lot about how the principles of good design help us create beautiful homes… and make beautiful life choices.  I’ve launched this website to share these ideas with you.

To begin, I’m inviting you to download, as my gift to you, my kitchen design book. This book, initially published by Time Warner Book Group, is my primer on design and a great way to jump into our explorations.  Formatted to make it easy to navigate from the Table of Contents, the book will guide our design journey together – one that will continue on my Blog Page and on Instagram. In the meantime, browse through the gorgeous photos, and remember that every design problem has a solution… and there’s always great joy in finding it!
